FREMONT, CA: The automotive industry is aplenty with specifically designed software like the Apple’s Carplay system, Mirrorlink and Ford’s Sync and MyFordTouch. These software must be able to withstand time as the cars that they will adorn later last longer than the apps do. The prospect of buying a car that has a dashboard running an embedded version of iOS may have to wait a little longer. The blog by BlackBerry states that the Apple’s new Carplay system runs on top of the BlackBerry-owned QNX system.
